What’s Special

Students create their own businesses

The Downside

Students have lots of catching up to do

The Bronx High School of Business (BHSB) offers students the chance to create their own businesses with a Virtual Enterprise program. Some get paid internships and industry certification with Microsoft Office Suite.

The school also offers both a dedicated English as a New Language (ENL) program and a Spanish Bilingual Education program.

The small school has many new immigrants and students with special needs. Most 9th-graders need to catch up on academic skills. It is housed in the Taft Educational Campus with five other schools. PSAL sports are campus-wide. (Lydie Raschka, DOE data, December 2024)
