What’s Special
Students may observe trials in a local court
The Downside
Poor attendance
At this small school, housed in the Martin Luther King Educational Complex, students may take part in mock trials organized by a local judge or attend actual court cases. They may learn about the law from a visiting lawyer or travel to Washington, DC, for an overnight trip, according to the school’s website.
The school has a safe and inclusive environment and students have good interactions with their teachers, according to the Quality Review. However, most students enter with weak academic skills and attendance is below average.
